Lessons From Sec 3 Camp

Our 3-days-2nights Sec 3 Camp 2009 @ Labrador is officially over.

Though you all did your own reflections at the camp, I think it is good for you to share your experience (by posting them on our class blog) with your classmates who miss the camp (due to various reasons).

Some questions for the campers to ponder on:

1. What did you do at the camp? What happened?

2. How did you feel at the camp? How has your feelings/mood change throughout the camp?

3. What did you never expect yourself to do? What changes do you see happening to yourself?

4. What lessons have you learnt from the camp? How can you apply what you have learnt in your daily life?

What is important is not the winning, but the participation! I think quite a number of you never expected yourself to be able to overcome the obstacles like the rockclimbing, flying fox, abseiling & challenge rope course (CRC), but after you have tried, you managed to do it! Some of you may not have expected the camp & its activities to be fun, but eventually you did enjoyed yourselves there.

In life, it is very much like this too. You will never know what to expect and what you can achieve without trying! What is important is not to have achieved your goal, but the process of trying. The journey is always more important than the destination itself!

Hope to see some positive changes in you after this camp. Looking forward to reading your reflections here.

The photos for the Sec 3 Camp are out. You can view them here.
